Whatever life throws at you, it’s important to remain positive at all times. That can be easier said than done, but in order to grow personally and spiritually, it’s vital to put yourself first. We often focus on our general health and beauty, but do we really focus much on our inner health, i.e. the way our soul feels and connects with those around us?


More often than not, this isn’t considered a priority.

Detox Your Life of Those Who Aren’t on Your Side

Do you have anyone in your life, perhaps a friend, who regularly lets you down, doesn’t put you first, and always thinks of themselves. Are you maintaining a close link to a former lover, because you still have feelings for them, but they are causing a toxic energy in your life. It’s time to take a deep breath and be ruthless – detox your life of people who let you down, or those who aren’t on your side.


Nourish Your Real Friendships

We all have friends, but some of us have a larger circle than we need. Who are your real friends, the ones that would be there for you at the drop of a hat? Focus your attention on nourishing those relationships and spending less time on the meaningless. You’ll feel more enriched and fulfilled as a result.

Look after your health, eat properly, get plenty of exercise, sleep, read, do the things you love, and basically be kind to yourself. If you want to eat that cake, eat it! Balance everything out with moderation, and understand that you don’t have to cut out the things you love, you simply need to create balance and harmony.

It’s time to start saying ‘yes’ to those invitations to go out, any social occasions, or whatever else it may be. Who knows where it might lead! A night out might simply be a fun event, but it could also lead you to meet the new love of your life! Start saying ‘yes’, rather than ‘no’, and see where it leads you.


Disconnect From Social Media

This one is probably going to terrify many people, but disconnect your social media. If you can’t do that, at lest limit your exposure. Social media is toxic many ways, as it forces us to compare our own lives to those who are posting fake ‘real’ lives instead. Nobody’s life is perfect, no matter what Instagram might make it look like. Focus on you and the here and now, and see how great it can feel.


Go Travelling

You don’t need to go backpacking, but make sure you visit somewhere new as regularly as you can. Travelling the world will open your eyes to the wonder and beauty that is all around you, making you appreciate the small things in life. You’ll also get to meet many new people and have new adventures, which will boost your confidence no end.


Keep Family at The Heart of Everything

You only get one family, so keep it close and keep it at the heart of everything you do.


Your eat, pray, love experience doesn’t need to involve a backpack, any kind of religious enlightenment, and it doesn’t have to involve a gym – your experience can be anything you want it to be, but make sure that it opens your eyes and helps you see the positives in life.
