Kylie Jenner has got the beauty industry talking once again with the announcement of her new skincare line, Kylie Skin.
Kylie is sharing her skincare essentials and beauty secrets to achieving beautiful, glowing, healthy skin.
After saturating the makeup market with Kylie Cosmetics, selling over $600 million since it’s 2016 launch, Kylie Skin is already set to be a roaring success.
Kylie took to her social media channels to announce her new brand, confirming that the range is “cruelty free, vegan, gluten free, paraben and sulfate free, suitable for all skin types and dermatologist tested”.
“Skincare and makeup go hand in hand and Kylie Skin was something I dreamt up soon after Kylie Cosmetics,” Jenner said. “I’ve been working on this for what feels like a lifetime so I can’t believe I’m finally announcing!”.
Jenner also shared that she is currently working on future products specific for “acne-prone skin, dry skin, congested skin [and] oily skin”.
In a teaser video on Youtube, the company’s launch will introduce six products. A foaming face wash, walnut face scrub, alcohol-free vanilla milk face toner, facial moisturiser, vitamin C serum and eye cream. Packaging for the eye-cream has been designed to incorporate a self-applicator and has been formulated with green tea, pomegranate extract, caffeine and vitamin E.
Despite the immense hype surrounding the launch, the walnut face scrub received significant backlash, with skincare professionals stating that walnut scrubs can be extremely harsh and have the potential to cause microscopic tears of the skin.
However, going by the launch of Kylie Cosmetics, products will be sure to sell out within minutes.
All products will be priced under $30 USD. Alternatively, the entire line can be purchased as a bundle for $125 USD. The line will also include a pretty pink makeup bag ($22 USD) and makeup removing wipes ($10 USD).
The initial drop will be available tomorrow morning, May 23, on kylieskin.com.
