Why You Should Be Using Ethical Zinc – Australia’s Number One Ethical Sunscreen

Australian summers continue to grow hotter. UV radiation poses increasing health risks. And while all this happens, we are collectively becoming a more health and environmentally conscious society. It’s no surprise then, that many Australians are switching to Ethical Zinc. The brand boasts a strong reputation as Australia’s safest and most reliable sunscreen protection, and we found out exactly why!

Unlike chemical sunscreens, which bind and react with cells deep in the skin to absorb UV radiation inside the body, Ethical Zinc works like a shield to deflect the sun’s rays using Broad Spectrum UV protection from a single active ingredient. This ingredient – zinc – is a natural and safe mineral which successfully avoids skin irritation and breakouts. Chemical sunscreens, on the other hand, do not. Rather, they are derived of a ‘cocktail mix’ of numerous coatings in each product which have been found at high levels in the bloodstream and can remain there for weeks. It’s not exactly an ideal way to ‘protect the body’ – which is the whole point of sunscreen in the first place, isn’t it?

So what exactly is Broad Spectrum UV protection? Simply put, it is the filtration of both UVA and UVB rays derived from sunlight, which leads to skin damage. Sounds pretty important, doesn’t it? Yet many chemical UV absorbers do not adequately perform this process, leading to higher risks of skin cancer. Furthermore, the SPF ratings of such products only measure protection from UVB, leaving out potential damage from UVA which can be equally harmful to your skin. Both are essential to take into consideration.

Yet even if these chemical products were to get their act together and master a proper filtration process, they still wouldn’t hold up to Zinc products. That’s because chemical sunscreens breakdown under UV in as little as 30 minutes – hardly enough time for a tan! Meanwhile, Zinc products do not breakdown under UV at all, providing longer-lasting and stable protection so you can enjoy luxurious, hot summers care-free.

So why Ethical Zinc? Why not just any zinc product for that matter?

It’s a good question.

Not only is Ethical Zinc ahead of the curve when it comes to personal health; it’s also ahead of the curve environmentally and ecologically. It’s Australian-made, using 100% solar power and is made and packaged from recyclable materials and certified natural ingredients. It is also reef and ocean safe, and certified cruelty free by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).

Well done, guys!  Find out more about Ethical Zinc .

And if that’s not enough, just have a look at some of their rave reviews:

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I have been trialing different zinc based sun creams for myself & my family for over 13 years now . I think I have tried everything on the market . THIS product has, by far, been the best! It blends well into all our skin tones (we range in our family from very fair to olive & tanned complexions) with no white tinge. It doesn’t “rip your skin off” when you try and apply it (a huge bonus with kids!!) and it doesn’t cause breakouts for my teens! I can’t praise this suncream enough . I purchased through nourished life online, direct with the company & it can now be bought in Coles! Super stoked ! Thanks for an amazing product !! AAA+” – Sarah (Zinc user, October 2020)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I work outside in Arizona, USA so I need a good sunscreen that I don’t have to reapply every 20 minutes. Most sunscreens dry out my face. Ethical Zinc actually moisturizes my face and does not give me clogged pores. I put some on around 8 in the morning and I reapply around 1pm. That’s it. It smells awesome also. Everything else I have tried seems to wreck my skin. I’m excited that my coworker introduced me to this!” – Maureen (Zinc user, April 2020)

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was looking for a zinc based sunscreen as it was the only type that would seem to stop me from burning, and I found Ethical Zinc. I instantly fell in love with the fact it was reef safe and decided to give it a go. Amazing! Smells lovely, goes on clear, I don’t burn and I know I’m not harming our ocean wildlife. Love it, will keep on supporting this brand.”
