Dress Up For Zoom University

As many of us are attending university online, otherwise known as Zoom University. We are struggling to figure out what to wear. Do we wear loungewear since we’re at home? or do we dress up like we normally would for class? Well to help you figure it out, here’s a list of 4 looks and accessories to inspire you for your next zoom class.

Luckily we really just need to dress from the waist up, which is half the battle so to speak. To look better during your zoom class make sure your laptop or device is at eye-level and that there’s plenty of natural light in the room. You can also go into video settings at turn on “mirror video” feature and also turn on the “Touch Up My Appearance” feature. Now we can focus on the outfits:

Look 1 Classic –

Outfit idea –

For an easy classic look, why not throw on a turtleneck, choose any colour that speaks to you. You can go for a bold or relaxed look. If it’s cold pair it with a denim jacket or roll up the sleeves if it’s hot.

Accessory –

But that’s not all, if you want to add some shine during your meeting accessories with a nice gold or silver necklace and earrings and if you’re like me and talk with your hands why not add some rings or a watch.

Price –

Turtleneck in green $44

Turtleneck Knit Top in pink $41.99

Look 2 casual-

Outfit idea –

There are so many options to choose from as casual can be anything. But for me nothing says comfy more than a co-ord set. These are the best because they make you look put together while staying comfortable. So it’s perfect when you’re running late to class and need to quickly get into something.

Accessory –

Accessorise these looks with some plain necklaces or hoop earrings for a relaxed look. Add some stacked rings or a plain watch for an extra touch of shine.

Price –

Yellow Rib Knit Polo Cardigan – $ 40

Yellow cropped Knit Cami – $20

Yellow Rib Knit Mini Skirt – $ 30

Pale Pink Textured Polo Shirt – $ 30

Pale Pink Textured Shorts – $26

Look 3 Classy –

Outfit idea –

Whether you are in a zoom class or a zoom guest lecture, sometimes you need to have a classy look that you can just throw on. For me a nice white t-shirt and a simple blazer does the trick. Girls can copy this too, with a nice jacket or blazer. This is a simple trick that can make it look like you spent a while getting ready.

Accessory –

For these looks minimal is better, a nice ring or watch. Maybe even a bracelet or necklace. Don’t go overboard. For a cleaner look try matching your jewellery to your outfit, gold with gold and silver with silver.

Price –

Grey Wool Blend Slim Suit Jacket – $ 30

Grey Wool Blend Slim Pant – $90

Linen Blend Tuxedo Vest Top – $35

Linen Blend Buckle Short – $40

Look 4 Comfy –

Outfit idea –

Sometimes you just wanna be comfy, but most zoom university dress codes say that you can’t wear pyjamas. But there’s a solution to this problem. Just wear coloured or co-ord sweats, they’re as comfy as pyjamas but don’t look like them so you can get away with wearing them. Plus you can get a winter pair or a summer pair, so you’ll be comfy all year round.

Accessory –

For this comfy look, simple earring and a basic watch will do. Remember this is a comfy look, no need to over bling. There’s plenty of other zoom classes for that.

Price –

Red Primetime Binge On Hoodie – $50

Red Primetime Binge On Sweatpants – $45

Yellow Chill binge Sweat Top – $50

White Chill Binge Sweatshorts – $35

Now that you have a list of options and styles, you’ll have one less thing to worry about. So you can focus on smashing this semester in style.
