Kim Kardashian West has unveiled her new Skims collection and we’re obsessed. We’ve been transported back to the year 2000, a time when Juicy Couture tracksuits ruled and bedazzled flip phones were all the rage. Kim created each of these nostalgic looks which she describes as “versatile, comfortable, ultra-luxe, and fun” in a series of neutral colours. The new era-defining collection includes velour tracksuits, robes, wide-leg pants and bandeau tops. Paying homage to their decade-spanning friendship, Kim enlisted the help of Paris Hilton. Both of which dominated and inspired the tracksuit trend. 

They unveiled the new collection in the most iconic way possible. The pair posed for paparazzi-style campaign photos in, on and in front of a Range Rover. As well as strutting through a parking garage with retro Louis Vuitton Monogram Miroir Alma bags thrown over their arms. As Paris would say “That’s Hot”. 

Kim Kardashian West told Vogue US that “The iconic velour tracksuits have been a staple in my closet for close to 20 years …  After working on this collection for over a year, I am so excited to share with everyone. Velour is one of my favorite Skims collection launches to date! It’s the perfect blend of 2000s nostalgia and present-day loungewear.”

Paris told Vogue US that “I love Juicy Couture’s velour tracksuits; I probably own 100 of them in every colour … That’s my uniform when I’m chilling at home or going to the beach, anything that doesn’t involve a red carpet.” She continued to say that “I’m living in sweatsuits right now … The Skims velour collection is perfect for looking hot while being comfy.” 

To say we are excited for this new Skims collection would be an understatement, the 2000s are definitely making a comeback and we’re glad to see it. The collection is set to launch October 21st 9am US PT time (which is 3am AEST tomorrow for us Aussie folk).  Shop online at http://SKIMS.COM.
