Aussie Beauty Brands Making a Splash at Sephora in the US

It’s easy for us to tell you that Aussie beauty brands are the best in the world. It’s also easy for us to tell you that the pink-glazed Krispy Kremes are the best out of the entire range of donuts and will gladly fight anyone who disagrees. But why listen to us when you could when you could just see for yourself? Some of our best cosmetic and skincare brands have jumped ship and are available in Sephora in the US, and we could not be prouder. Here are some of our faves that are making their mark in the U-S-of-A:

Go-To Skincare:

Go-To Skincare is very new to the Sephora scene, having only launched in the US in June. What a win for creator, Zoe Foster-Blake! All the products are designed in Australia and made in New Zealand, and include only natural ingredients with no nasties to be found. Six out of fifteen of Foster-Blake’s products have made it to the shelves in the US and the reviews have been nothing but positive.

Standout Product: Face Hero is exactly what it’s name claims – an absolute hero. It is packed with all-natural ingredients like Almond Oil for soft skin, and Jojoba Oil for anti-aging properties. Face Hero is particularly effective for us (un)lucky girls with super sensitive skin – it’s gentle and is full of essential fatty acids, which work wonders for redness and inflammation. The product underwent intensive testing and sampling for weeks before its release to make sure it worked perfectly, and was as heroic as its name suggests. Slap it on after cleanser and toner, and before moisturiser to decrease redness and inflammation. And then go eat brownie – you deserve it, you skin-saving little legend!

Kora Organics:

Kora Organics is the brainchild of Victoria’s Secret Angel and Aussie beauty, Miranda Kerr. The brand has been a raging success in the US market. Kerr partnered with Sephora last year to launch her products, and has seen one positive reaction after another. Kerr worked with aromatherapy and organic chemistry experts to deliver organic, natural products, and has earned both Ecocert and Cosmos certifications.

Standout Product: The Turmeric 2-in-1 Brightening and Exfoliating Mask is a certified miracle-worker. The mask works equally for all skin types (dry, oily, combination), and supports skin cell renewal, reverses aging effects, and keeps skin wrinkle-free. It even reverses hyper-pigmentation (all those nasty little patches of skin that appear darker than the rest of your skin), and the effects of sun exposure. You look a little insane while wearing it, but does a face mask even work if you don’t look silly while it’s on? Slather it on after a long day at work, and pick up a glass (or two) of Moscato for the perfect pamper night.

Jurlique:

Look, I’m not going to lie. We thought Jurlique was a cosmetic brand made exclusively for over-65’s who wore curlers and compression socks to bed. But boy we could not have been more wrong. Australia-born and created, Jurlique has been a cosmetic powerhouse here in Australia for over 30 years. The brand has made their mark in the US too. The range of products in the US, while limited, is still making waves in the store. If you’re looking for a high-end, high quality range of products, Jurlique is the brand for you.

Standout Product: The Hand Cream Trio is perfect for winter. Dry skin is an absolute epidemic in the colder months, but this product is the perfect solution. The hand creams are available in the scents Citrus, Rose, and Lavender, and work to nourish and moisturize the skin. They leave a non-greasy finish on the hands, which means you can get right back to typing, writing and eating straight away. Even better, they contain no artificial colours or fragrances – all those scents are natural. Stunning!
