New York Fashion Week is finished for another year, but the predictions of what we’re going to be wearing this coming Fall are fresh in our minds. If you’ve checked out the trends found on the catwalk online then you’ll have noticed some seriously out there fashion choices, but some more wearable ones too. Of course, it’s not all about clothing, as cosmetic trends were on firm display too.
So, what did the catwalks tell us about our Fall 2018 beauty choices?
Barefaced And Beautiful
Ralph Lauren and Hugo Boss both showed us a natural, sunkissed appearance to their models, and how super-radiant did they look as a result? This look is easy to achieve, however it all hinges on a glowing complexion to pull it off. Make sure you drink plenty of water, look after your skin, and find the right shade of foundation, for that sun-kissed, dewy look.
Glittery And Proud
No, we haven’t been transported back into the early 1990s, as the NY Fashion Week catwalks were packed with glitter and sparkle. From Oscar de la Renta’s full on pastel eyeshadow sparkle, to Libertine’s tougher, metallic style, glitter was everywhere in some way, shape, or form.
Glitter isn’t the easiest trend to recreate, but there are many ways you can add nods to the trend in a more subtle way. For instance, a glossy lip with a slight shine to pastel eyeshadow will give you Oscar de la Renta’s style, and a grey with tiny flecks of glitter swept across the eylids will give you a tougher, yet still very sparkly appearance.
Hair Gone Back in Time
The other very noticable trend on view was in the hair, and it was about accessories. Think back to your younger days, with headbands and cute, colourful clips, and you’re not far away! This one is certianly the easiest trend to recreate, and you simply need to raid your younger sister or niece’s accessory box! Just a small slide to one side is enough to show that you tok notice of the catwalk trends.
So, which of these NY Fashion Week beauty predictions will you go for? It’s best not to combine too many together, as the main three above really don’t ‘go’ together that well! Instead, choose one and perfect it, to give you that bang on trend Fall 2018 look. Many of these will also translate into the following Spring season too.
