Mascara has always been an essential item for the perfect makeup look. For many of us, it has become an everyday product, and if you are like me, it’s almost impossible to leave the house without it.

But trying to find the right mascara is always a struggle. All the ads promising of luxuriously long eye lashes with max volume generally end up being a disappointment. Even, if the volume looks decent, there’s still the issue of the mascara running the moment it reaches 30C. And trying to use false lashes to compensate always ends up with getting the glue stuck in at least one eye. 

Those lucky enough to have naturally long and luscious lashes will never understand how difficult the search can be.

However, there are two mascara products that live up to their promise and are without a doubt the top tier mascaras.

Over the years, Chanel has released many mascara products, and in my time, I have tried many of them in the hopes of finding the perfect fit. And I have finally found the best Chanel mascara, Le Volume De Chanel. 

This sculpting mascara is infused with a rapid drying formula that has proven to last, and on a typical day, tends to last me 14 hours, without leaking once. It also makes my eyelashes look twice as long and adds much needed colour to my naturally dull lashes.

Granted, whilst it definitely isn’t the cheapest mascara on the market, it’s definitely worth the extra money to guarantee amazing volume and durable mascara that can last. You can buy it for $56.00 here.

Maybelline-  Colossal Volume Express

Maybe it’s Maybelline… well yes it is. In the past, I have always found Maybelline mascaras to be hit and miss in the past, but not too long ago I borrowed this one from my friend and I was blown away by how voluminous it was for my eyelashes.

Typically, I am skeptical of any “volumising” mascara, but this Maybelline mascara completely changed that.

Similar to the Chanel one, this mascara lasted for the same amount of time and fulfilled its promise of being a volumising mascara.
