The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has already taken place this year. The iconic angels like Candice Swanepoel, Adriana Lima, Romee Strijd and Stella Maxwell owned the runway, with new additions like Kendall Jenner, Duckie Thot and the Hadid sisters joining them.
While some of us might not be able to walk down that iconic runway, one thing is for sure, we can recreate the Angel’s makeup look thanks to Charlotte Tilbury. Tilbury was the makeup sponsor for this years show, and her aim was to create a naturally glowy and sculpted look to enhance the model’s natural beauty.
To achieve a lit from within glow, Charlotte used her Wonderglow face primer. This primer gives a dewy, bouncy look to the skin, and when used in conjunction with her Light Wonder foundation, it’s the perfect natural glow. Charlotte specifically used a warmer tone of foundation on each model so it gave a sun-kissed glow. Can you see a theme here?
For cheeks, Tilbury used an illuminating blush stick that gives a subtle hint of colour on the face but also keeps to the dewy, natural finish she wanted. The makeup pro avoided heavy contouring and turned to light sculpting and highlighting, making sure to keep it faint and natural using her Filmstar Bronze and Glow duo.
The look wouldn’t be complete without a glittery, shimmery champagne eyeshadow. Tilbury brought back her sold out eyeshadow palette, Bigger Brighter Eyes, to make the Angels’ eyes pop. If you want to recreate this look, you can purchase the limited eyeshadow palette from here.
The artists backstage turned to Victoria’s Secret own mascara, Major Lashes. This mascara brought mega volume and drama, the perfect accompaniment to the sparkly eyes. Aside from opening up the eyes, it was important to keep them sexy, so a wing was drawn on the lids with a pencil eyeliner in a chocolate shade. This powder liner is soft and subtle compared to a dark, statement liner.
Committing to the natural look, Tilbury went with a soft creamy pink lipstick from Victoria’s Secret, and defined the lip line with her infamous Lip Cheat Pencil in the shade Pillowtalk. She topped off the lips with a swipe of her new Collagen Lip Bath Gloss for a pouty look.
Walking down a catwalk in lingerie means that you need to add some glow to the rest of your body. Luckily the models get spray tans from celebrity tanning artist Kristyn Pradas, but they added a nice glowy top coat of Charlotte Tilbury’s Supermodel Body Glow.
While it sounds like a lot of work, that’s exactly how to replicate the supermodel’s makeup looks. Dewy skin is super trendy at the moment, and the low key makeup is perfect for those summer nights out.
