The 7 Essentials You Need For Your Next Festival

Festival season is approaching and now it’s time to revise your festival essentials. In the past, all i’ve had is my phone, debit card, I.D and my ticket. That was it. As i’ve become more grown, i’ve streamlined my festival bag to feature some very important items.

  1. Get yourself a good festy bag. I’m currently loving my ‘Fucci’ (fake Gucci) bum bag. You can get it from Boohoo, normally on sale for around $20 compared to the ridonkulous $1,390 for a real Gucci bag (??!!)

  2. Sunscreen. Please for the love of God, wear SPF. Not only are you saving your face from burning, you are ultimately applying the best anti-aging product money can buy. I love the Mecca To Save Face SPF50+ for the high SPF and because it doubles as a primer too.

  3. It’s so important to drink water when you’re at a festival. In Australia, it is more than likely to be a scorching hot day. And while most festivals will have taps and bubblers to drink water, it’s just a better option to bring a collapsible drink bottle. They fold away into nothing, and you have water on the go (for free!) These are great, cheap and you can clip it onto your pants or bag so you don’t need to hold it all day.

  4. Portable Chargers are just so handy. I always pack my Belkin Pocket Power 15k Power Bank when I go to festivals. This particular power pack can charge up your phone 5 times, so it’s great to share with your friends too so you don’t lose each other. Mine has saved me many times, especially when it comes to late night train timetables.

  5. Tampons. Do I really need to explain this? Just bring some, because if you don’t need them, someone else definitely will!
  6. Baby wipes will be your saviour. Spilt drink? Baby wipe. Super sweaty? Baby wipe. Covered in dirt? Baby wipe. I love taking mini packs like the Wotnot All Natural Travel Wipes. They double up as makeup wipes meaning I can sleep on the train home without worrying about the state of my face. It’s a win/win!

  7. Hair ties. If you’re like me, you probably have your hair braided out of your face, because nothing is worse than being in a mosh pit with your hair sticking to other people’s sweaty bodies. So gross. I’m really loving the scrunchies trend, and have a large collection at home. I always have one on my arm, and they make a cute accessory. You can pick up 3 scrunchies for $5 at Kmart.

  8. You can’t leave for a festival without a cool pair of shades. You’re out in the sun for a whole day and nothing worse is forgetting your sunnies and squinting all day long. Be fun and bold with your sunglasses choice, it’s a festival and everyone likes to look more quirky. The new trend of tiny frames is in, and it’s the perfect time to dip your toes in the water and try it out!
