What’s Trending Post MBFWA 2018

Cue the tears, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia is over and like any breakup, we’re left reminiscing over the beauty that was. With some fine fashion, lippy, and a keen eye for detail, MBFWA has won our hearts for yet another year.

Scroll down to check out our absolute fave looks that everybody can get on board with!

THE MAKE-UP

Never failing to impress, the all natural look was trending this year. The no makeup-makeup look is the perfect solution for those wanting a subtle confidence boost without the stress of applying liquid eyeliner. Foundations, bronzers, and highlighters are your key to the perfect nude look.

Acler and Christopher Esber are our picks for the barely-there charm this year.

For our fashionistas out there who prefer a little colour, add in a splash of berry-stained lip gloss to give your look the pop it deserves.

We’ve got the down-low and ruddy cheeks are back on the runway. Keep your look simple and elegant with a rosy blush. This chic, classy addition to your makeup routine will have heads turning as they admire your complexion.

THE HAIR

In keeping with their celebration of natural beauty, MBFWA encouraged natural hairstyles on the runway this year. Gone are the days when we’d slave away with our straightener only to have the humidity ruin the hard work we’ve done. It’s time to embrace frizz and flyaways now more than ever before. It’s bold, it’s beautiful, and we love it.

If big hair wasn’t enough, then compliment your do with a hair scarf. With floral patterns and pastel colours, hair scarves are bringing a pop of Summer back into our colder months.

Can’t decide whether to pin your hair up or down? Well MBFWA have made the half-back hairstyle popular again. Alice McCall repped the look complimented with soft fairytale-like curls.
