Dark Lord designer Rick Owens has taken over the famous Barney’s in NYC.
You arrive to see Sculptures in the Widows, built by the designer himself.
The exhibition is apart of his “Rick Owens Subhuman Inhuman Superhuman”, which ran at the Triennale di Milano until the end of March.
As you enter through the doors you are treated to 21 of Rick Owens runway looks from the past two decades. Runway video projections are displayed with several pieces of Owens’s monolithic furniture. Display cases of ephemera are seen, including old catalogs, sketches, and accessory prototypes.
If you are already sold, than you will love this even more. We hear Owen’s has created his own “Cheeseburger!” for the duration of the exhibition. Awesome! But how does a fashion designer create a burger you ask?
The ultimate Fashion Burger Recipe:
Owens combines locally sourced, grass-fed, non-GMO, Animal Welfare-approved beef, with caramelised onion and Dijon mustard. A thick, melty layer of Havarti cheese and to finish, liquorice flavoured barbed wire is tied around the scrumptious bun and deep fried chips! Oh, and did we mention, Owen’s has even finished the bun off with a very special Rick Owens branding stamp!
Rick Owen’s fashionable burger is available until June 15th at Freds Downtown, so make sure you head on down for the 24-years-in-the-making exhibition before it closes for good.
