How To Revive Your Over Plucked Brows

Brows are universally accepted as the most important feature on our faces. Not only are they scientifically proven as the most essential (they literally act as awnings for your eyes, protecting them from dust and sweat!), they have the highest face value without a set of lush brows you’d be lacking in the emotional expression department big time!

I’ve had my fair share of brow faux pas hot wax burns, overdrawing and the universal (and totally devastating) over pluck. Fuller brows are the best brows, and the sad truth is that almost all of us over plucked our brows at some stage in our primary and high school years. Thin and sparse brows in the age of Cara Delevingne and Lily Collins are a little difficult when you don’t have much to work with!

So, if you weren’t as fortunate as me to regrow a full set of lush brows (sorry to brag), I have some simple solutions to help you with your swift brow comeback!

Stop Plucking

First and foremoststep away from the tweezers. The best way to overcome an issue is to get rid of what’s causing it. The regrowth process isn’t a pretty one, but it’s a necessary step. Let your brows start to grow back and slowly the natural outline will start to form. Once you have some sparse and bushy resemblance of a pair of eyebrows, head straight to your beautician so they can start reshaping. With something as precious as your brows, it’s best to leave them to the experts!

Try Brow Tinting

Beautiful brows are nothing without definition. Brow tinting is a semi-permanent option to define your eyebrows by dying them a few shades darker and into a natural looking structure. If you’re trying to re-train your eyebrows into an ideal shape, tinting is a great way to flaunt what hair you have and map out fullness without that dreadful overdrawn look.

Add Fibres and Colour

Fibrosis brow products are a great way to add fullness and boost ‘barely there’ brows. Brow gels and pomades are a cheap and accessible option to add volume and definition to your natural shape and give them that ‘swept up’ look. PSA: a few strokes go a long way, so don’t go overboard!

Try: Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel

Try: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade

Look after your brows and they’ll look after you!
