As if Australia’s very own golden girl Margot Robbie hadn’t won our hearts enough already. She’s absolutely beautiful & approachable, down to earth, undeniably talented, and she’s just added seamstress to the long list of things she can do with total ease.
We usually associate a wardrobe malfunction with a total diva breakdown, exposing celebs for their true temperamental selves, but not our Margot.
After her picture perfect Chanel Haute Couture gowns glimmering beaded straps snapped, Margot had to resort to some DIY sewing, and in true Aussie style, did it all herself!
The I, Tonya nominee voiced that “Oh, ain’t got time for that!” and got stuck into mending. What a woman!
Robbie has also just marked another career success being named an official brand ambassador for Chanel, and to commemorate showed off her dress making skills.
Even though the delicately embroided straps took 550 hours to complete after working from a design by Karl Lagerfeld, it came down to the women, not the dress that stood out on the Oscar night.
The next time you find yourself out and come head to head with a wardrobe malfunction, be comforted by the idea that “If Margot can fix it, so can I!”
We love you Margot.
