Gucci’s latest shoe design called the ‘Ilse Sock Sandal’ is currently being shredded on social media, as people make fun of the two-in-one creations. When you pay the small amount of $1,630 you don’t get just a normal pair of red heels, but also a pair of socks…in the sandals.
Alessandro Michele, Gucci designer, has focused on statement footwear since he became the head of the fashion house in July 2015. This seems to be one statement too far, as the ‘Ilse Sock Sandal’ is probably going to remain misunderstood by a lot of women around the world. The sandals are available on Nordstrom’s website for pre-order, however people are mystified. People on social media are questioning whether Gucci is having a joke with these sandals.
Ummmmm…….what? Is this serious? https://t.co/XlNJq1t3cj

The real humour is found in the product listing review, where there are some lengthy and presumably sarcastic reviews on the shoes. Here is a hilarious example:
“These Sock Sandals saved my life! You see, my feet have agoraphobia and every time I leave the house, if they aren’t covered up they writhe in nervous agony. I had to wear socks with my sandals and I was mocked incessantly. Then I found these gems! Now I can wear sandals AND cover my feet from the awful scenes of society. They remain hidden, safe, and none the wiser that they are actually in the midst of the plagues of the outdoors.”
You think that nothing can beat the ‘Ilse Sock Sandal’ when in comes to ugly and expensive shoes? Unfortunately these are not the only terrible shoes to have fallen on the wrong side of fashion. These unique designer pieces give the ‘Isle Sock Sandal’ a run for its money.
