If you’re a fan of Pretty Little Liars (or even if you’re not) Troian Bellisario, also know as Spencer Hastings from the show, recently jetted away with a group of her friends to Rome to celebrate her bachelorette party in style! With the group continually posting photos, we took a look to help give you the best tips on organising your own send off as a single lady!
Troian took her party to Rome, with the amazing scenery, weather, history, culture and the anonymity that comes from a new place to go hand in hand! Take a note out of her book and choose somewhere that oozes class, relaxation and beauty to celebrate your single send off with your friends. Whether it’s somewhere far, far away or just down the coast, pick a place that suits you and your friends the best for optimal fun!
As Rome produces some of the best dishes, from pasta to pizza and everything in between, Troian knew what she wanted. The food factor can play a large part in your decision, and with all the relaxing and eating that would follow we wish Italy was closer so we could escape away. But, don’t stress, so many places closer to home have amazing food scenes and if you are a big foodie this could be your ultimate decider!
Who doesn’t love gift bags or glam bags?! Troian’s Maid of Honour set all the girls up with matching t-shirts, a cut out of Troian and numerous other gifts to signify her appreciation of them coming and to celebrate the Bride-To-Be. Whilst your glam bag doesn’t have to be as elaborate as hers, something simple to thank the group for getting together and coming to celebrate the Bride will provide a lasting memory of the trip and adds a nice personal touch to the party.
If you are planning one huge blow out, invite anyone and everyone who has helped shape your life, but if you are celebrating over a weekend or longer, we think you should follow Troian’s lead. Our favourite PLL invited six of her closest pals to celebrate (including 2 of her cast-mates), and we think this is a perfect number for a longer celebration. One issue with inviting too many people is trying to organise everything and making sure everyone is happy. For one night, everyone can do as you want, but for any longer it’s nice to consider the needs of your friends.
One key factor in planning your farewell to singledom is money. It’s good to chat to your friends about how much they can afford and how much you’re expecting them to spend. Weddings are expensive enough as it is (even if you’re just attending) so it’s important to make sure everyone knows the expectations. Luckily, this job will fall into the hands of your Maid of Honour, so thats less stress off your back.
#Bellisariogetsbooted was the Bachelorette Party’s hashtag on social media, and this is a great idea to help you store the memories of the adventure. This allows Troian and her friends to revisit their memories at any time through the hashtag and reminisce on their time together. Some other ideas along those lines would be creating a Snapchat filter for the party that can be applied to all of your stories or even a polaroid/disposable camera that does the rounds to capture some memorable and unedited fun!
Whilst soon to be Mrs Adams (she is marrying Patricks Adam from Suits) took a week or so away from her work on set, many Bachelorette Parties can be anywhere from a night to a week away. This will predominantly depend on your chosen location and budget, but personally I can’t think of anything better than a long weekend away interstate or down the coast. Or if you really want to go out with a bang, blow it all on week in Vegas!
