10 Amazing Beauty Dupes!

10 Amazing Beauty Dupes!

10 Amazing Beauty Dupes!

Let’s face it, we’ve all dreamt about having a beauty guru’s makeup collection. I’m not the only one who’s spent hours watching YouTube tutorials at 3am…. right? I would love to own all the Naked palettes, Chanel foundations & Yves Saint Lauren mascaras; but let’s be realistic, there’s rent to pay!

Unless it is your profession, it is pretty hard to own all of the high end beauty products. Don’t stress! The dupes are almost just as good as the originals. So here are the most recommended dupes for the high end makeup products:

  1. Mac face & body foundation vs. Maybelline FIT! Me matte foundation.
Personally, I love the Maybelline FIT! Me foundation! I find it always goes on smooth and leaves my face feeling great! It really does maintain the matte promise and keeps my face from getting oily. So if you’re looking for a cheaper foundation, we’d highly recommend this. You’ll also save $30…
  2. Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit vs. NYX Highlight and Pro Contour Palette
Ah yes, Anastasia Beverly Hills, I wish! All beauty gurus discuss the ABH cream contour kit. It is $70 though… but don’t worry, we’ve got a dupe! The NYX highlight and Pro Contour Palette! With the NYX palette you get 8 shades as opposed to 6 and save $30.
  3. Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation vs.  Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder
Are you finding that the MAC powders are adding up to be quite a bit? We recommend giving the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder a go! You can get identical shades from MAC for than half the price left. You’ll save $39. The Rimmel powder is available at Priceline for just $11!
  4. Clinique Chubby Stick Lip Colour Balm vs. Revlon ColourBurst Lip Balm
Not only is the packaging almost identical, the colours are pretty damn similar except Revlon actually has a wider variety of shades to choose from. The Clinique Chubby Stick’s are gorgeous but unaffordable for some. Try the Revlon ColourBurst Lip Balm! It’s just $17 from Priceline as opposed to the $36 Clinique Chubby Stick. Deal or what?!
  5. Maybelline’s Eye Studio Gel Liner vs. Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner
As a user of both, personally, I prefer the Maybelline Liner over the Bobbi Brown. Bobbi Brown does have a wider variety of shades to choose from but Maybelline does stock the standard black, brown and charcoal that we all know and love. Maybelline chuck in a brush too! The Maybelline Liner is available from Priceline at just $16 where as the Bobbi Brown liner comes in at $40. Kind of a steal, if you ask us.
  6. Smashbox Photofinish Primer vs. Nyx Studio Perfect Photo Loving Primer
Okay, Smashbox’s primer is amazing, it fills pores and leaves your makeup looking absolutely flawless & smooth. Fun fact though: the ingredients in both products are almost exactly the same! NYX is a clear bargain in comparison to the Smashbox primer although they are very similar! The Smashbox primer is available at Mecca Cosmetics at $54 where the Nyx primer is available at Target for $19!
  7. NARS Blush/Bronzer Duo (Orgasm/Luna) vs. e.l.f. Studio Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder (St.Lucia)
I have yet to own a Nars product, but I believe in myself and one day it will happen! For now, instead of having the orgasm (hey hey) and luna duo, e.l.f.’s duo is a great substitute! The Nars duo is available at Sephora at $42 whereas the e.l.f. duo is available at Kmart for $8 – quite the difference!
  8. Benefit “They’re Real” Mascara vs. Any Maybelline mascara
Every person who spends time watching beauty collections, we all know that each guru has a ton of Maybelline mascaras! I have never used another brand of mascara myself. Maybelline has such a wide variety of mascaras for all occasions and style that never fails any one.
  9. Urban Decay Naked Palette vs. Nyx Nude on Nude Palette
The famous Urban Decay Naked palettes, sigh. They’re just so beautiful. Well, Nyx has created a palette that is almost identical but a lot cheaper if you can’t afford the Urban Decay Naked palette! Nyx’s nude of nude palette has 20 shades and 12 of them are almost identical to the 12 that are in the Urban Decay Naked palette. (You also get lipgloss options in the Nyx palette!) The Nyx palette is available at Target for $25 and the Urban Decay Naked Palette is available at Sephora and Mecca Cosmetics for $83.
  10. Kylie Lip Kits vs. Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream
Getting your hands on a product from Kylie Jenner’s lip kits is proving difficult as they sell out in minutes. Not to worry! To hold you over until the next launch on her website, Nyx’s soft matte lip cream is a great substitute and is much cheaper! Nyx offers almost identical shades to Koko K, Transylvania, Kourt K, 22, Freedom, Skylie, Mary Jo K, Posie K and Dolce K! Talk about a wide range hey! Kylie’s Lip Kits cost around $22 AUD where Nyx’s lip creams come in at about $12!!
