Bingle has got the style down pat

She’s a beach babe who hails from the Shire with a killer smile and haircut to boot. Lara Bingle is a fashion icon with one of the hottest celeb wardrobes. She can go from a sophisticated business woman during the day to a cute biker chick/boho babe on the red carpet. She always manages to add an air of femininity to an otherwise androgynous style.

She adds a cute dash of punchy red lipstick or vamps it up with some plum lipstick. It even rivals Taylor Swift’s to be honest.

She wears only muted tones – black, white, greys, beiges, there’s barely even any denim involved. It’s the kind of style that, as they say in fash-land, is classic. The kind of style that doesn’t date. She favours heavy fabrics that swing off her body, rather than cling to every curve, with an interesting cut and tailoring and is never afraid to hide that body. Something only someone with supreme confidence can pull off.

She shows off her assets. She’s not flaunting her ample chest like she was when she was the beach babe who infamously said: “Where the bloody hell are you?” Since that advertisement 10 years ago, she’s gone from strength to strength. She’s shown she is an assertive, smart business woman who can transition from wearing a killer set of heels to casual ballet flats while she pops down to run errands.

So how can you replicate Lara’s style on a cheaper budget?

Grab a super cute leather jacket. Keep it monotone. Either a deep blue, black or subdued grey will never go out of style. Something like this Genuine Soft Lambskin Leather Double-Breasted Jacket from Etsy ($140) will always be handy.

Wear a well tailored top that you feel comfortable in. Preferably something you don’t have to iron so if you’re travelling, you can fold it and go. We like this Bailey 44 Faux-Leather Top from stylebop for $295.

You can’t go wrong in a cute half length sleeveless top for a cocktail event with a cute black or white fitted skirt. Team it with some killer pumps which will keep your toes less freezing or opt for comfort with some dressy wedges with a sturdy heel. Why not make a statement with this Yours Sincerely Faux Leather Pencil Skirt – Burgundy (Target, $45) and these Maize Black Diesel/Black Wax heeled boots from Style Tread ($172.47)?
