It’s the age-old question “If you didn’t have braids, were you even at Coachella?” With Game of Thrones back on our screens (Dany, Cersei, Sansa, pretty much everyone ever on that show rocks some sort of braid) and Splendour in the Grass just around the corner, we thought we would show you the best technique for making your hair game look like you just stepped out of a Pinterest board.
Pancaking is the technique used by all your favourite pinners to get those jealousy inducing hair game snaps. Basically, you start with a tight braid in any style. Then, you gently pull it apart from each direction using short, precise tugs. Separating your braid like this will make it flatter, but also will make it look more full and voluminous. This technique works best on long hair, as you have a little bit more length to work with.
Add in some flowers, jewelled combs, ribbons, even some feathers and you are ready to hit the festival circuit in style!
