Glass Hair – The newest hair trend making us want to chop our locks

We all remember the trend of glass skin – A Korean concept where the skin looks extra glossy and smooth. Now to match your luminous skin, why not get glass hair to match?

Glass hair, as originally reported by Refinery29, is a blunt bob that’s super glossy. This makes for a match made in heaven, a sharp cut with shiny, straight, silky and smooth texture. Absolutely gorg. It’s not really a surprise that it’s become such a viral hit, especially with celebs like Kim Kardashian West, Lucy Hale and Jourdan Dunn having tried it and absolutely slaying it.

Hairstylist Jennifer Yepez was one of the first this year to highlight the trend, after posting a snap of Hailey Baldwin’s hair on Instagram in February. To get this look, Yepez used Kerastase Resistance Ciment Thermique Blow Dry Primer, Densifique Densimorphose Hair Mousse, and the Creme Magistrale Mask.

On Instagram, Chris Appleton notes his inspo for Kim K’s new lob was “90s swishy glass hair.” He adds, “I cut Kim’s hair shorter than we’ve ever done before; just underneath the jawline, keeping the cut blunt with no angle.” He used Colour Wow’s Dream Coat Anti-Humidity Treatment then blow-dried using a round bristle brush. To boost the shine factor up a notch, Appleton finished her strands off with the Pop and Lock Gloss Treatment.
