If you aren’t already aware of what I’m about to tell you, it’s time to crawl out from beneath your rock & get back on the beauty bandwagon. Mecca is hosting a HUGE beauty festival dubbed ‘MECCALAND’ in Melbourne from 13-15th April.
The tickets to the carnival-like event were priced at $49 and sold out before any of us could scream “yes please!”, so there’s going to be universal FOMO felt by all beauty addicts this upcoming weekend. The 3 day party will allow festival goers to be up close and personal during 1 hour sessions with top brands including Yves Saint Laurent, Drunk Elephant & Smashbox and get their hands on exclusive beauty buys. Special guests include the likes of Shani Grimmond, Shannon Harris, Bella Fiori & Sammy Robinson all coming along to meet everyone and join in the interactive fun.
“MECCALAND will bring together our community of die-hard MECCA Beauty Junkies for our first-ever festival. It’s a celebration of the best the beauty world has to offer in an interactive, theatrical, fun-filled environment,” Mecca founder Jo Horgan told InStyle.
Before you become too devastated, let me explain the silver lining, The lucky boys & girls who were able to snag tickets will have access to up to 25 of the world’s most sought after cosmetic and makeup brands–and will be up close and personal with cult classics & products that haven’t even been released yet! What this means for us is, brand new Mecca products about to hit public shelves throughout May, June & July, and a little less regret felt by those who missed out on tickets. Some of the products set to launch along with the event are right up my alley and from some huge brands including Mario Badescu (yay!), NARS & Stila!
Here’s a sneak peak of some of the products you’re going to be sprinting to your local Mecca store to get your hands on before they’re gone!
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Chamomile and Lavender ($9)
I can already tell this is going to be a holy grail product of mine. Aloe, Lavender & Chamomile are a match made in heaven and I can already feel the calm vibes coming my way!
Urban Decay Naked Heat Petite Palette ($47)
I’m a sucker for warm toned eyeshadow at the best of times, throw Urban Decay’s Naked Heat Palette in the mix and I will literally throw my limited funds at you. I can’t wait for the mini version of this golden palette!
Nars Danger Control Eyeshadow Palette ($71)
Frosty purples and shimmers for winter has never been a bad idea. Nars never fail to deliver the goods and this pastel palette is screaming best-seller.
Stila Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Beauty Junkie ($35)
Nothing says glow like liquid products, especially when they’re the perfect pink shade & made by the genius Stila!
