Wrinkles Schminkles – The Aussie Invention Changing The Anti-Wrinkle Game

Shark Tank Australia has introduced us to a whole heap of Aussie inventions, like the Quick Flick Eyeliner Stamp and the Lace Your Face Mask. The new invention on the block Wrinkles Schminkles is here to change your anti-aging skincare routine.

Aussie inventor Gabrielle Requena invented a pretty unique product, a silicone chest mask, after struggling to find a solution to treat her creases on her décolletage that were evident after sleeping. They never seemed to go away.

Gabrielle spoke to MamaMia about her business, “Being an avid side sleeper and growing up under the harsh Australian sun, I started seeing signs of ageing on my décolletage in my early 30s, and I quickly learnt that all the creams, serums, lotions and potions on the market did little to treat this problem area.”

She then decided to create a solution to her, and many other women’s problem, by creating a chest mask. She began prototyping with medical grade silicone which is a scientifically proven method of healing scars. Fast forward three years, and the brand has expanded into treatments for other areas, including chest, neck, eyes, forehead, mouth and hands.

You’re probably wondering how it works. Wrinkles Schminkles uses medical-grade silicone, which is proven to improve and correct scarring on the skin. The silicone is worn while sleeping, and won’t slide around due to its adhesive properties.

The product works at three different levels. 1. The adhesive keeps the skin taut so it can’t crease and wrinkle any further. 2. Silicone keeps the skin hydrated and moisturised. 3. The mask increases blood flow and stimulates the skin’s collagen.

Since the mask’s release 3 years back, the product gained traction after being featured on Khloe Kardashian’s makeover series Revenge Body.

Wrinkles Schminkles can be purchased online for $42 a pop, but don’t fret! The masks can be used up to 20-30 times. If you’re skeptical, check out their before and afters and decide if you think they’re worth it!
