Do you think it is possible to look as youthful and as stunningly timeless as Cindy Crawford, Elle MacPherson, Jennifer Lopez, and the likes, without the help of the surgeon’s knife? Many people think this is relatively impossible, but is it worth a try?
Whilst we can’t promise you’ll be rocking no wrinkles by the time you’re 65, we can help you out with a little advice on the road to youthful looks for a longer period of time. Of course, Jennifer Lopez can tell you that her looks are down to drinking water and taking vitamins all she likes, but it’s highly likely that an injection of Botox or a filler or two have come into play …. Just saying …
Anyway, in the battle to remain youthful for longer, what can you do?
Let’s check out a few natural (and a few not so natural) ways you can aim to look as wonderful as Cindy, Elle, and J-Lo, as time ticks on.
You might think this is a no-brainer, but exercise really does keep your body younger for longer. You don’t have to be pounding the treadmill every single day, and you don’t have to do serious cardio, but you do need to regularly get your heart rate up, and sweat a little. In terms of the battle against aging, this is certainly one of the cheapest and easiest things you can do!
J-Lo is right in a lot of ways, because drinking plenty of water a day ensures that your skin is hydrated, beating dry patches and that aged look as a result, your hair is shinier, your nails are stronger, your body is able to move better, and you won’t feel older either. There is no hard and fast rule over how many glasses of water you should drink, no matter how many times you read the seven, eight, or whatever number of glasses are recommended. Just make sure you drink plenty.
Everyone says it, but it’s not only about your general health, it’s about looking younger too. Smoking ages you, without you even realising it. You will have fine lines around your mouth much earlier than you should, and it’s down to that smoking you’ve been doing for a good few years. Even the odd cigarette will reap damage, so kick the habit, look younger, and probably save yourself an awful lot of cash at the same time.
Eat a Healthy Diet
By making sure that you get plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet, you will notice that your skin glows. When your skin is dull, you instantly look older than what you are. Make sure you eat breakfast, as this will certainly set you up for the day, and it goes without saying, keep away from the fast food options!
Enjoy Wellness Activities
There is nothing wrong with a spa day with your friends. Not only does this help you relax, which makes you look instantly younger and more relaxed overall, but you will be hydrating your skin, moisturising, and generally looking after your body. All of this adds up to a more youthful appearance.
Have a Regular Skincare Routine
There is a huge amount of benefit to be had from putting into place a regular skincare routine. This means taking off your make up every night, without fail! It also means toning, moisturising, and finding the best products for your particular skin type. One size does not fit all!
